Assessing encapsulation of curcumin in cocoliposome: <i>In vitro</i> study

Abstract Curcumin has been known and used in the medical industrial world. One way to improve its stability, bioavailability applications is using encapsulation method. In this research, we studied cocoliposome (coconut liposome) as material. The efficiency (EE), loading capacity (LC), release rate (RR), well free radical scavenging activity, measured by inhibition ratio (IR), of curcumin product were on varying cholesterol compositions simulated gastric fluid (SGF, pH 1.2) intestinal (SIF, 7.4) conditions. We found that (CCL) formulation was influenced composition EE, LC activity diminished under both SIF SGF conditions when concentration enhanced. However, RR increased intensified. condition acquire most favorable parameter values at 10% composition. Furthermore, IR results CCL 67.70 82.13% milieu, respectively. thrived better for activities.
